Generic brands are cheaper than name brand food products and they are pretty much the same thing, you are just paying more for the name. You will save money and still get the same thing
2.Buy in bulk.
Stores like Costco and Sams Club sell products in bulk for good prices. You can buy fresh produce or if you want to buy food that doesn’t expire for a long time you can get beans, rice, oats etc. You can also buy frozen fruits and vegetables which will last much longer.
3.Coupons and discounts.
You can find a lot of coupons online and use reward programs. Before you go shopping look for coupons and while you are shopping look for foods that are on sale.
4.Don’t buy pre-packaged foods.
There are a lot of foods that come pre packaged such as lunches or pre-cut fruit or shredded cheese, even though these may seem nice and convenient they are more money. Pack and make your own lunches and take the few extra minutes to cut your own fruit because it will be worth it.
5.Plan out your meals.
Before you go shopping figure out all your meals you want and make your list. When you go to the store stick to the list and resist the urge to add things that are not on the list in your cart. When you plan out your meals this will help you not go out to eat so it will save you money and will be healthier.
Yes! Pre-packaged foods are expensive. I know I'm lazy sometimes but I rather save some bucks. I'll just cut the fruit a night before so I'm not rushing the next day. Great tips:)
