Can't teach an old dog new ticks, Teach a young dog new tips

Tip 1
As a typical college student I tend to find that everything around me is super expensive. "affordable" food, like fast food are not as cheap as they might portray, many fast food restaurants make the items available by means of a la carte. Individually pricing the food makes the original $6 meal an $8 meal. Avoid these types of places as best you can!

Tip 2
A great option that you can utilize to save money, indulge in the sweet non-perishable taste of canned food! In my fall semester year I ran out of food swipes for the dinning common on a Wednesday, knowing that I had to eat for the rest of the week I started to panic... looking frantically around for anything that I could eat. It takes me a healthy ten minutes to find what I was looking for. Peaches I found four cans of peaches I had bought the week before school started. Relieved, i knew that i could  survive on just those cans if I really had to, fortunately we don't live in the renaissance era and I can easily just text a friend to Swipe me in.

Tip 3
If you do plan on going out to eat consider the loop holes that you might have from that meal. I am constantly looking for different ways to get more food than what you pay for. My favorite place to do this at is Qdoba. Ask the person making your burrito to double wrap it, the double wrap psychologically tricks the person making your burrito give you more chicken, rice, beans ect... all the while paying the original price.

Tip 4
Order rice! Rice is a very dense food and a lot of rice can be stored in a small container, use left over rice from take out more often than not when deciding on what to eat for dinner. A good trick to know when eating at a place that makes the food in front of you, order split side and entrees. For example your ordering from panda express, and your sever asks what you would like as the side. Ask for half rice and half chow mien, the two portions are not monitored and you usually end up getting double the amount of food you paid for.

Tip 5
Have other people use your rewards card or phone number when they order. This tip can be tricky because you will undoubtedly gain a large amount of points. The main problem with this is the deals or discount that are made available to you can now be used by your friends so use this tip with precaution.
