Eating Well On A Budget

As we all know, most of us are freshman and we live on campus and we rely mostly of the food that the school provides for us. But there are multiple ways that we can do to help us to eat on a budget, they are:

1. Do not buy the name brand products- When you go to the store to get food, try to buy the generic brand items. The more you do this, the more money you can save over time. Yes, the name brand items taste better, but since we are on a budget, the generic brands will have to do.

2. Coupons are a great tool- Even though we might not be pros at using coupons, they are still very helpful to use when you want to save money. Every store has ads for use to look at and in these ads there are a bunch of coupons that we can use on certain groceries when we check out. They can help you save a lot of money.

3. Buy more of one item- If we were to buy more of one item, you will not have to buy that item as often. The biggest one and most inexpensive items to buy a lot of is Ramen. Ramen is very common in the dorms and they are also cheap. You can buy them in a pack of 24 or so for like $3-4. So, if you were to buy it in bulk, you will spend less money.

4. Buy only essentials- When you go to the store, only buy what you need. Do not spend a ton of money on items you do not really need. If you were to do this, than you will spend your money on only items you need, rather than items you do not need.

5. Do not buy useless things- Only buy things that you need. Do not go around and just spend your money on whatever you want. The more you do this, the more money you will save and the more money you will have on essentials things that you need to live.

There are more things that you can do to save money, but these five are pretty big. If you do these five suggestions, then you can be saving money and you will have more money in your bank account every week.
