Blog Post 1- Elizabeth Torres

Hello everybody, my name is Elizabeth Torres. I'm 19 years old and I'm a freshman at UNR. I'm trying to major in Neuroscience and I'm planning to go to medical school. I was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I'm glad I don't live there anymore, not a fan of the cold and their harsh weather. I currently live in Fernley, Nv so I have to drive forty five minutes to get to school. I graduated at Fernley High School in 2017. In high school I did couple extracurricular activities like 4 years of swim, 2 years of volleyball, 1 year of soccer, 2 years of band, and CNA for my last year of high school. After high school, I sworn in the Army National Guard on June 1, 2017. I’m currently a PFC and my MOS is 91B ( wheeled vehicle mechanic). Some interests I have is I love outdoor activities like camping, ATV’s, riding bikes, kayaking, and hiking. Places I camped at and really enjoyed staying was at Bridgeport, CA Mono Village because it was great place to go fishing and many hiking trails especially one trail that led up  to a beautiful waterfall. Another thing I liked about Mono Village it gets really cool at nights that you get all cozy up around the campfire and telling stories with the family. Another place I camped at and really enjoyed was at Washington, CA because we stayed by the river and it was flowing really rapid that the sound of the water flowing would relax us. There was also many atv trails in that campsite as well. If you have any recommendation of campsites please comment below I’d be interested to go visit. Another interest I have is traveling. I’ve traveled to many states in the west and mid western states. I also travel to Mexico in December because that's when all my family travel to during the holidays. Since we are talking about food in this course my favorite food is tacos and donuts. I can eat many of them and not get bored.
