Eating well on a Budget
First off I am vegitarian I believe in some ways that this allows me to send less because of the types of foods that I eat.
- I like to get the bag of frozen vegtables. They will last a long time as long as you keep them frozen. I eat very small portions of vegtabels, usually on top of rice, couscous, or pasta.
- I always buy cans of vegitarian refried beans. They as well can last you a while. I tend to just find the cheapest priced ones and eat thoes.
- CousCous a type of grain. I like to eat it alone or with my vegtables. It can last up to two years, and its simple to make.
- I also enjoy the veggi burgers (morning star.) These as well can last up to two years as long as being kept in the freezer. you can buy some from costco in a 12 pack for around 6 dollars.
- The last thing I like to buy is rice. Although it may not be the most healthiest of foods, it can last a long time, and you can buy the big bags of it.
I also buy bags of rice, its a filler food that lasts forever.
