Introduction Post: Shaan Kahlon

Hello everyone, my name is Eeshaan Kahlon. I prefer to go by my nickname Shaan. I'm born and raised from Yuba City, California. I moved to Reno about 6 years ago (I'm 18 years old). I wasn't very fond of Reno, since I had to leave all my friends and switch schools and all the things a kid never wants to happen. I still try to go to California at least once a month if not, once every two months. I enjoy hanging out with my closest friends and seeing my other family relatives.

Some things I like to do outside of school are visiting friends in California, listening to music, binge watching Naruto, etc. I enjoy going to the gym, but I have the problem where if I don't go one day I'll stop going for like the whole week. It's very hard to pick up where I left off. Music has always interested me. Since I'm Indian, I enjoy listening to Punjabi (language I speak) music. I'll listen to anything that sounds good to me.

The thing I enjoy most about music is seeing my favorite music artist in concert. 'Logic' has been my favorite rapper since 2010, it's amazing to see how far it's been since the start of his career was nothing. I have only been to three concerts so far all in California and for one of the concerts, I flew to Los Angeles. The other concerts were in Wheatland and San Fransisco. The thing I take pride in the most is the merch collection I have. I have limited edition pieces and enjoy collecting his gear.

If anyone knows me. Then you would that UNR was my destined choice to go to college. I wanted to actually go somewhere else, to actually be away from home. Since that didn't work out, I'm proud that I made the decision to stay in Reno. I'm a freshman and hoping to complete my four years here. As I assume, I hope all of you enjoy eating. If you do you should definitely try out the burritos at the food court inside the Joe Crowly.

Traveling can either be enjoyable or boring. Visiting other countries and states can be super exciting, but visiting a country too many times can be annoying. In my culture, Indian weddings are some what a requirement to attend. Most of the weddings also happen in India, not all but most. Indian weddings are very beautiful, but I just don't enjoy going to India. I have visited India atleast nine or ten times. Other places I've visited are Canada which was very fun since it was a driving trip and stopped to see cousins. One of my favorite trips was to London and seeing the culture there was intriguing, also going in a submarine in Hawaii. Especially trying out new foods, that's my absolute favorite thing to do.

If there is anything else you'd like to know, I'd be glad to tell you anything about me. I also hope to know more about my class peers and other students from other classes.
