Hello my name is John Leland and I am a freshman at the University of Reno Nevada. I was born in Clevland, Ohio and have lived in Nevada for almost 17 years. I went to Spanish Springs High School and I really enjoyed it. I have a great friend group that has recently gotten split up since college started but I still have some friends that go to UNR with me. I feel as if I have had a normal child hood, like hanging out with friends on the weekend and dreading school during the week. Every summer I would go to Lake Almanor in California with my family. I loved those summers because I made a lot of friends up there and enjoyed spending time with my family. My family is fairly large. I have one older brother, an older step sister, an older step brother, and a step sister that is my age and she also comes to UNR. My sister and I are very close and I am proudly to say that she is my best friend. We do everything together and she always gives me the best advice when it comes to stuff like school and girls. Things I enjoy doing on my free time is fishing, snowboarding, and playing the guitar. I like playing music and listening to it. my favorite band is Modern Baseball. Also fishing is fun for me because its cool to get away for a while with buddies and just have good conversations and not catch any fish. My favorite animal is dogs. I have had a lot of dogs in my lifetime. My first dog was a yellow lab named dawson. Currently I have two dogs. Ones name is Mia and she's a wiener dog and the other is named Milo and he's a labradoodle. Dogs just makes life more enjoyable and something to look forward to when you get home. Also my mom is the biggest part of my life. She has taught me everything I know on how to be a good person. I love her endlessly and owe her everything. Also my favorite food is chicken nuggets. My major is criminal justice. In my life I want to become a police officer. I want to help people in my community and be able to be given a good, safe life just like I have. So in conclusion that is all about who John Leland is.
