Blog 4

Hello my name is Colton Domingues, I am from right here Reno, NV. My family comes from a Native American and English/ Irish background. We always had family get together for holidays and BBQ's where my aunts made traditional Indian Tacos. Today I am interviewing my friend Mashrur Ahmed, who himself and his family members all have an Indian background.

Question: Hello what's your name and where are you from?
Answer: My name is Mashrur Ahmed and I'm from Reno, Nevada.

Question: Where is your family from?
Answer: My family is from Bengali, India. Both of my parents and grandparents are Indian.

Question: Do you have any traditions you celebrate?
Answer: Yes Eid and Diwali. Eid is a celebration when ramadan ends, and Diwali is a celebration of light.

Question: What kind of dishes are there in your culture?
Answer: The dishes are Rice, Fish Curry's, Beef Curry's and Rasgulla.

Question: What other languages can you speak?
Answer: Besides English i can speak Bengali, Arabic, and Hindi

  1. I used to have Indian tacos at my towns fair they were always so popular, i bet they are even better homemade you are lucky your family can make them.
