The person I chose to interview is my childhood friend Aary Most. Aary and her family moved to United States from Iran when she was just 5 years old. Since her childhood Aary has always had a very strong connection to both her family and the country that she comes from. I have never met someone more proud of their heritage and cultural customes and thus believed she would be a perfect interview subject. In this interview we get to know a little bit about how native food plays a role in Aary's daily life. Below my questions will be in bold and beneth will be her answers.

What was your favorite thing to eat as a kid in Iran?

Zereshk Polo. It's a dish with white rice and saffron on top with barberries.

Is that still your favorite dish today or has it changed now that you're older?

Yes, it still remains my favorite dish.

Do you have any celebrations surrounding food in Iran similar to Thanksgiving that you enjoy?

We don't have any food celebrations but on Persian New Year rice with dill and salmon is very common.

Is there any Persian food you eat that always reminds you of a certian person or event?

Every Persian food reminds me of my grandma.

Is there any Persian dish that you can cook really well?

Almost anything since i've learned how to cook for so long from different family members.
