Introduction: Sydney Hinkell

Hey! My name is Sydney, but most people call me Syd.  I was born and raised in Las Vegas, but I am currently living in Reno attending UNR. While in Las Vegas I attended and graduated from Centennial High School. Some interesting things about me are I am a true virgo, I have a sarcastic sense of humor,  I love roller coasters, and scary movies are my favorite. My favorite movie growing up was Jeepers Creepers(the first and second one are good, but the third one is trash). I am usually a shy person until you know me then I never stop talking. I don't really have any hobbies because I'm constantly changing them(right now I'm trying to learn how to snowboard). Being up in Reno has been great so far, and I can't wait for what comes next.
I am studying pre-nursing in hopes of becoming a pediatric nurse. From an early age I have always wanted to be a nurse, but just recently I have decided that I want to work in the pediatric unit. I like kids, and for me working with kids is better than working with adults. After graduating in 2022 I hope to get into the Orvis School of Nursing where I can start my career.
I've had a great time being up in Reno, but I really miss my family. My family is the most important thing to me! My mom and my older sister, Briana, are my favorite people. They are my support system, they always know how to make me laugh. I talk to them both at least twice a week. I miss them while I'm up in Reno, but luckily I didn't come up here alone. My best friend, Jenn, also came up to UNR. I've known Jenn since third grade and we've been best friends since fifth grade. She is more like a sister to me than a best friend. We are currently roommates in Nye and everything is great. I am so happy that we got to experience college together.
