Introduction

Hi everyone I'm Myles King

I was born and raised here in Reno, I went to a catholic high school called Bishop Manogue but I am definitely not catholic. I have two younger siblings a sister and a brother, my sister is 16 and just got her license (yikes) and my bother, yes bother, is 13 and should never be allowed to lay a hand on the wheel till he's at least 25. I have always been a pretty athletic person, I've been playing baseball ever since I was about five or six and played all the way up until my senior year when I decided to quit and ended up playing lacrosse. Baseball players since the beginning of time have been making fun of lacrosse players, but what I came to realize in playing lacrosse is that baseball players have no room to talk, lacrosse is a grueling sport. I had a new found love for the game of lacrosse and worked my way up to a starting position mid way through the season. I picked up basketball at around 12 in middle school only because my gym teacher ridiculed me for not playing basketball and being the tallest kid in school. Being the tallest kid in school is the story of my life, ever since elementary school I have always been the tallest kid. I am currently 6'6" right now but my mom keeps telling me that I'm still growing but I refuse to believe her because I do not want to be any taller than I am right now. Despite my height I love action sports like skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and surfing, basically anything with a board I am game for. I am a pretty laid back and easy going person, I am always trying to make new friends and never really pick fights. I've never actually been in a fight in my whole life and I don't plan on it unless the guy is taller than me, because I think it would be pretty embarrassing if a 6'6" kid got dropped to the floor by some like 5'8" macho man that actually knows how to fight. I love laughing and making other people laugh because who the hell doesn't.  Some of my favorite foods include pasta, steak, chicken, and I love all types of fruit. I am by no means a picky eater I'll eat just about anything that is on my plate in front of me. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

  1. Hey Myles, i enjoyed this introductory piece because we share a lot of the same interests and motivations. Especially skating and growing up in the Reno, NV. Good luck on the back half of this semester, best wishes.
